What’s it about?
At Interpret we use “next” Sunday’s sermon text as a springboard for sharpening a preacher’s skills at interpreting God’s Word and engaging today’s world.
We offer the mind of an excellent professor with the heart of an experienced pastor.
How’s it work?
Through either ongoing (weekly) or occasional consulting, Interpret engages the preacher in highly interactive, prayer-filled discussions (45-60 min long) via phone or video call. Discussion notes and any relevant references, quotes, or content are sent soon afterward.
What’s it cost?
Churches purchase “reservoirs” of 10-50 consults at $150/consult. There is an initial consultation fee of $200 to discuss a preacher’s style, goals, and ministry.
Scholarships are available for church planters, church planting networks and revitalization efforts.
What’s it save?
Preachers have reported saving between 5 to 11 hours of sermon preparation, with an average of just under 7 hours. That’s like adding almost a day to their week. They leave their consultations with clarity about the text, direction for further preparation and enthusiasm to preach that Sunday.

What’s it not about?
As its name suggests, Interpret primarily helps preachers interpret the Word, not impart the Word. We’re primarily about preparation, not presentation. Further, Interpret is about cultivating skills, not culling sources (e.g., quotes, illustrations, etc.), though such sources routinely come up in consults.
